As an experienced recruitment consultant for over 20 years I have seen thousands of cv's as we call them in the UK or Resumes in America.

What I have learnt is often the best candidate for the job has often written the worst CV or Resume. What also I cannot believe is that people still pay to have their resume written, when with the technology available to day it is easy and free.

So here I will show you How to write a CV/resume for free without the need to buy a template. More importantly a CV/Resume that will get you the interview, I should know I have read thousands of CV's for over 20 years.

The key is to keep it simple and easy to read and no longer than 3 pages. In a nutshell that is it, but I will not leave it there of course, I will help you with the formatting in word to ensure a good presentation and a few tips on the way.

What may interest you to know is when I see a Resume; I judge an opinion almost immediately without even reading it, because I instantly get an image of that person from the style of the resume. What may surprise you is even the font gives away your age!!

Based on this the next entry will be on the preparation work need first.
